My name is Cassi, and I write books for children of all ages. I first thought of becoming a writer in the 6th grade when I wrote a sad-but-true paper that made my teacher cry and then again in the 9th grade when I made a joke that someone’s mom thought was hilarious-but-dark. Over and over, I have learned that very few things are as powerful as words.

I write books that are funny and smart and deep and complex, just like the children for whom they are written. But mostly, I write books that I hope children will love and their adults won’t hate.

When I’m not writing (or doing boring adult things), I am probably reading or learning something or spending time with my two adventurous young sons and my learning-to-be adventurous husband in my hometown of Fort Worth, Texas.
